Born in Harlem New York, OAK & ACORN • Only for the Rebelles is the first sustainable denim LIFESTYLE brand that pays homage to the origins of indigo & legacy of American denim. OAK & ACORN’s aim is to propel the fashion industry into a more balanced era where wellness, education, empowerment, cultural responsibility and accountability are at the forefront.

OAK & ACORN TELLS AN INCLUSIVE STORY OF DENIM.

Our American Jean Story pays homage to denim’s past, present & future forward. We center denim as a cultural, social & political icon throughout American history with first sharing the story of denim as the uniform and providing historical context of indigo’s origins as a hidden commodity of the transcontinental slave trade.

Sustainability

Sustainability is the ethos of our brand.

We see Sustainability from a 360 perspective - that includes Environmental, Social Impact, Education, Strong Institutions, and Personal Wellness. Sustainability means ensuring that the histories, traditions, and expertise of creative communities are celebrated & reinforced. It means guaranteeing people are not only surviving, but thriving from the work they do. It means more purposeful and intentional living, being in service to the community, and living in balance with nature.

100% sustainability may not yet be possible, but we can become more conscious stewards to the world around us.

Our commitment to sustainability means our products are made up of eco-fibers like Organic Cotton, Hemp, Refibra & Tencel, recycled & repurposed denim, natural indigo artisan textiles & deadstock fabrics.
